I miss my friend Hopper. Jessica's turned her family emergency trip to california into a vision quest and now that she's encountered herself we are all afraid she is going to stay in LA writing away in Cali's house, built into a mountain.
I was called upon for my first rape crisis. Out to a hospital on the westside, with a survivor in room 14 and a very real fear of not knowing what I need to know. Being genuinely supportive of a stranger in is a heavy task.

The Crystals of Totality

I really like this guy Bert Bergen. I bought a print from him in the fall after seeing his Offerings from Beneath the Realm of Chirality installation at a coffee shop in San Francisco. The print I bought is of four whales trying to get their Crystals back from a bird of prey. I think I'd like to have a print from the Crystals of Totality series as well. He's also doing the illustrations for the upcoming issue of the Believer.
I like drawings rife with lines.

Brain Science Radio from the Netherlands

Tackling the most pressing problems about the mind and existence…
and over the radio while you can be doing something else!

Along with living the in the culture of her dreams, a country filled with immigrants and their instruments, Vanessa's finally started her own radio program

Remember the field recordings in Marrakesh? Remember the minidisc recorder and expensive microphone of hers I used to smuggle in my hoodie while she played street music with shopowners? Here she, Kendall, and whoever are plotting out yr brain!

Most notably, Vanessa has finally found a forum where she feels comfortable not lying (i.e. "telling the truth") There is a battle surging inside of her between misinformation and "everything else", but these seems pretty legit.

Listen to the podcast on the Radio page, under Archives.

SHE CAN PLAY THE DRUMS IN TWO

"god doesn't exist." or "do you have ANY idea how big space is?" or "i'm going to eat you all up i love you so!"

It's as if he just wandered out of a nuclear attack still fighting level 9 pokemons on the handheld.

I hope we like eachother, you know, in the future.
